Welcome to my digital junk drawer. This is where I keep all the odds and ends of my life on the internet.
Just like a real junk drawer, you might find something useful, something nostalgic, or something completely random.
Entrepreneur | Theme Park Historian | Civic Advocate
Based in Santa Ana, California, I operate at the intersection of technical infrastructure and immersive entertainment. As a Technical Administrator for MiceChat since its launch in 2005, I’ve spent two decades managing complex digital communities while documenting the evolving history of the world’s major resorts.
Beyond my technical work, I am a historian and one-time speaker at events like RetroMagic, where I share deep-dives into the operational history of Disney parks. I also serve as a producer and host for live entertainment at the annual MiceChat Gumball Rally. My "funtacular" game shows—including recreations of classics like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire – Play It, Press Your Luck, Family Feud, and What’s My Line? — provide the high-energy finale for hundreds of participants each year.
I am a prolific presence on Bluesky (@hastin.net), where I post daily about theme park operations, high-end hardware, and my latest projects. My commitment to community extends to civic action: I am an active Santa Ana advocate, HOA board member, a regular contributor to local infrastructure improvements, and a 5-gallon blood donor with the American Red Cross.
